Eustis police located the driver of a white van, who they initially believed tried luring two young boys into a van.As it turned out, Eustis police say the exchange between the man and those two children was a miscommunication. Officers say no crime was committed, and the driver is a local.

Police said the miscommunication happened in the residential area near Lake Gracie in Eustis.

According to a report, a woman in the neighborhood saw the boys running from something in a panic. She asked what happened, and that's when she told police the two spoke about why they were running.

The woman let the boys inside the house and called the police.

Police arrived and later learned the boys were approached by the man in a white van with a bit of rust at the bottom. They said the man never got out of the van but told them he was a driver picking them up on behalf of their father.

The two boys said they began running, according to the report. One rode a scooter, the other rode a bicycle.

The boy on the scooter rode on a hill, going down, and police said he lost control, crashed and scraped his shin.

Officers said the EMS was called for minor injuries, and a boy's brother and father came to pick him up.

They say the driver stopped next to two elementary school students at Key and Washington.

The driver was described as a white man with a gray beard and blue glasses.
